I arrived in Ginza knowing I wanted to photograph the iconic glass-brick facade of the Hermès building. The moment I stepped out of the train, my head was spinning with possibilities - the texture, the reflections, the architecture.
And then it started to rain.
Suddenly, the scene changed. Umbrellas appeared, the streets became reflective, and the building began to glow against the fading daylight. I love the contrast between the cool evening light and the warmth coming through the glass, with the people moving through the frame beneath their umbrellas.
It was one of those completely unplanned moments that made the photograph feel more alive. What began as a photograph of the architecture became something about the atmosphere of the place - a fleeting moment in Ginza that I happened to be there to capture.
