Occupying a rural site adjacent to the Tukituki river, this striking home draws inspiration from its natural surroundings – celebrating simplicity and creating a space where every detail speaks to the rugged and raw context.
The use of natural materials and unfussy finishes was key to meeting the client’s desire to create a home that was deeply rooted in its environment - creating a natural fit for the ‘contemporary barn’ design, helping to reinforce the context of the house within the Hawke’s Bay countryside.
